Do we have to rip out our existing SAP, Maximo, or PI dashboards?
No. Asset Vision sits on top of your systems of record. SAP PM stays the work-order system, PI stays the historian. We read from them through standard connectors and present a unified view — nothing is replaced, nothing is duplicated.
How do you reconcile KPIs when two sites calculate availability differently?
During onboarding we publish a single KPI dictionary (definition, formula, exclusion rules, data lineage) and agree it with each site lead. The dashboard then computes every KPI the same way everywhere, while leaving each site's local report intact for audit comparison.
What happens during a historian or SAP outage?
Asset Vision caches the last good snapshot and timestamps it clearly. Dashboards keep rendering with a 'stale data' badge per tile. Once the source recovers, the pipeline back-fills automatically — no gaps in the trend lines.
Can plant managers and executives see different views without us building two products?
Yes. Role-based views are configured, not coded. A planner sees backlog and PM compliance; a VP sees availability translated to EBITDA. Same underlying model, different lens, single source of truth.
